Message from Mary Ann Halford, Founder
I founded Global Media Strategies in 2002 after a five year stint at the Fox Entertainment Group, where my team and I built the Fox International Channels group into a global organization. At Fox, I loved being able to leverage the explosion in global entertainment consumption to build a viable and exciting business. In establishing my own business, I wanted to focus on working with companies seeking to mine new opportunities to create thriving businesses. Through Global Media Strategies, I have had the privilege to do that across a wide spectrum in the media and entertainment industry from international television to cable television programming to digital media to live entertainment to new technologies. In the process, I have worked with many great professionals in building and establishing new businesses.
For most of 2008 and the first part of 2009, I had the great opportunity to work for ITN Networks in launching their digital business. My small team and I leveraged ITN's strength as the preeminent national media sales company to build the 40th largest ranking ad-focused network, comprised of quality local media companies. Harnessing behavioral and contextual targeting capabilities as well as video syndication, ITN's ad network is now fully up and running and generating revenues from large Fortune 100 advertisers.
With ITN's ad network up and running, I am now pursuing new opportunities. While the macro-environment is definitely challenging at this time, there has never been a greater time for companies and businesses to leverage the power of digital media to connect with consumers and build brands. As a result, I have a number of exciting options that I am exploring.
